Computing Science Teacher Upskilling

STACS are leading the development of a national upskilling plan for Computing Science teachers in Scotland starting with Advanced Higher pilot running early 2023.

Content will be delivered through ‘bite-sized’ videos, tutorials led by experienced teachers, and in-person events. We will be focussed on Advanced Higher in a pilot running from January to March 2023.

We are really excited about our upskilling plan that has been shaped by the STACS reference group. STACS recognise that huge wealth of expertise that exist in the Computing Science community. We are seeking 6 Computing Science tutors who will work with STACS to deliver upskilling for Advanced Higher. The areas of focus will be driven by the analysis of the SQA data from examiners reports each year.

This is open to all teachers! If you are currently delivering Advanced Higher or if you want to upskill yourself for preparing to teach Advanced Higher in future, everyone can attend.
