External Verifier - Computer Science, Digital Literacy & IT
Applications are invited for the post of External Verifier for SQA’s suite of NPA and NC qualifications in Computer Science, Digital Literacy and Information Technology (VGs 288/357/358)
Applicants will be expected to have relevant experience and knowledge of the courses to be verified and have knowledge and understanding of the sector. In addition, applicants must be currently delivering or have recently delivered these courses or closely related courses. Please specify in your application if you have a strong preference for any specific VG.
An External Verifier is responsible for external verification and qualification approval activities under the conditions, timescales and arrangements set by SQA. The prime role is to participate in verification of qualifications in the subject area to ensure that national standards are maintained.
Successful applicants must hold or be prepared to work towards the relevant External Verifier Learning & Development unit as this is an SQA requirement.
