📢 STACS In-Person Connect Event, Monday 8th June, Glasgow - 5pm until 7pm

We are absolutely delighted to announce that the next STACS In-Person Connect Event will be taking place at St Aloysius' College, Glasgow on Monday, 8th June from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

At STACS, our core mission is to support, guide, and connect the incredible Computing Science community across Scotland. This evening is a fantastic opportunity for current Secondary Computing Science teachers, Primary & Early Years specialists, and our incoming PGDE Computing Science student teachers to come together, build networks, and leave with practical ideas for the classroom.

We are especially excited to use this event to officially welcome our soon-to-be probationers to the profession!

What to Expect on the Night

The evening will feature a choice of short, impactful workshops running across multiple tracks, alongside our fully interactive Computational Thinking Fairground where you can grab complimentary food and refreshments while exploring hands-on resources for younger learners.

Sessions will include:

  • 📈 BGE & Gender Balance: Hear directly from departments that are successfully boosting overall BGE uptake while actively increasing the number of female pupils choosing the subject.

  • 🧸 Primary & Early Years Track: Hands-on ideas and workshops focused on building computational thinking right at the start of the school pipeline.

  • 💻 Coding Resources & STACS Upskilling Platform: Explore practical code resources used by fellow teachers, and get a first look at our brand-new upskilling platform—bringing all of our training, support, and professional learning materials together into one easy-to-use hub.
