πŸ“’ Help Inspire the Next Generation of Computing Science Teachers!

At STACS, we believe that every pupil in Scotland deserves equity of access to Computing Science. However, achieving this goal depends on one vital factor: Recruitment.

To change this, we need to build a sustainable pipeline of new teachers. The STACS Computing Science Teacher Insight Initiative is looking for schools and departments to host prospective applicants for short, 1–2 day observational visits.

Supporting Future Colleagues

School experience is a standard requirement for PGDE applications. Our initiative helps facilitate this by providing 1–2 day observational visits. This allows prospective teachers to see the fantastic work happening in departments across the country, encouraging them to take the final step and apply for teacher training.

Can your school help? We currently have individuals interested in an insight visit. We are looking for departments - particularly in the Central Belt, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the North East - who can host a visitor for a day or two.
